Walking in the freedom to have a future
Two Vietnamese scouts that worked with American ground forces
The American on the right was wounded in action. The Vietnamese man on the left was shot several times while saving the wounded American mans life. The American was taken to safety and the Vietnamese man was left for dead in the rush of the intense moment. Both men left the war not knowing the fate of the other. Thirty some years later, not knowing that they lived only a few miles apart in Southern California, they were reunited at this event.
Above, a dear friend of mine, world famous photo journalist "Lee Treadwell" meets the American born grand daughter of a Vietnamese soldier that he knew from the war.
This protest lasted for more than three months, growing in numbers daily, as vets came from nearly every state in the country to show support to the people that now live in freedom because of their sacrifice
